Orienteering Relays

On Sunday, yesterday, in Te Awanga, a spectacular event occurred.
The grounds for the Orienteering champs were kindly offered by the Nilson family. Without them not much could have happened!
The Patient!

The two girl teams, consisting of Frances, Chloe and Ana + Tessa, Phoebe and Lily, unfortunately miss-punched, when you punch the wrong point or missed a punch. Unluckily the misfortune did not end there for Haumoana School!
One of the boy’s teams, Wesley, Noah and Cameron missed a punch on their course luckily, though; there was still a podium finish for Haumoana School!

Primary Boy’s Champs: 1st, Haumoana, Oscar, Will and George, 2nd Haumoana, Lockie, Jack and Barney, and Arthur Miller came 3rd.
The Podium!
Unfortunately, in the girls championships both girl teams got MP’s (miss punches NOT members of parliament!!) so were technically disqualified from the championship, leaving Arthur Miller with places 1st and 2nd! , The others missed punch leaving the 3rd place open! Also Arthur Miller and Haumoana School were the only ones that participated in their grade.
The Peformers!

There was also spectacular results from the intermediate grade, with HNI, Havelock North Intermediate) dominating the podium! Half of them are X-Haumoana School students! So a Most amazing finish for HNI and Haumoana School!
Those are the results for the Orienteering Team Relay Championships!
